Welcome to the Nanostructure Characterization Laboratory!
This laboratory was established in 2013 at the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, Kyushu Institute of Technology, and aims to develop structure characterization of materials on an atomic scale. The materials properties depend strongly on atomic configurations, and therefore it is of technological importance to clarify the relationships between functionalities and structures. We are analyzing the atomic configurations of various structural and functional materials using transmission electron microscopy and computer simulations. Let’s enjoy the atomic world together!
